So i thought i'd update this....
Since then i bought myself a brand new all in one illuminated gearknob from the stealer themselves....
Well after a few weeks of putting this in, i blew my bottom end up whilst coming back from Guildford meet with a few fellow zoners....so i decided to change the engine over, so started to take it apart....
heres with all the supercharger bits out...
then after this started to take the 6 branch and then the engine out..
Sorry for the limited pictures, its just that in the middle of this, i somehow managed to lose my camera so couldnt take anymore pictures, so i just carried on taking it apart.
Well after all this was done, and before putting the next engine back in, i started thinking, as this was going to be my proper project and i wanted to do it properly, which meant i was going to get it resprayed and get it all freshened up, which meant spending quite alot of money on it, ie: getting it sprayed, getting all the engine sorted out properly, and a few other little touches here and there.
I started to speak to a few people, and the conclusion was that after spending all this money would i be able to get some if not most of my money back, as afterall not many people here like 4 doors.
So I decided to break this and buy something else which would have more of a chance to sell and look better, so i bought myself a touring...
Well i bought a 316 as it had a clean shell, ie:no major rust etc, but was just a basic model, after a little more thinking as well as seeing another for sale with the tech 2 kit minus the tech 2 rear spoiler, from a zoner(which i was told got stolen, but then a few months later magic-ly appeared for sale on here, a bit of an coincident that it was exactly the same colour

mmm ), also had heated leather seats, oh also didnt have the tech2 mirror (reading light one) and the tech2 steering wheel. OOkay, bitching over.
So i changed the carpet to a dark charcoal greyish colour, which took a while as i thought i might as well put all my wiring in for my speakers and amps etc, put my tech 2 steering wheel, mirror(reading light one), got some MHW smoked read lights for it, gave it a good autoglym treatment, didnt come up as well as i expected but thats down to the shitty paint job that was done on previous to me owning it. Will get this sorted next year sometime...
So as i started to take this one apart to swap bits from my Calypso red one, ie:carpets, sound system.
After a few weeks, i got bored again, as this was an 2.5 switchable auto, i didnt want to do it as it drove pretty well but i decided to change it to manual

, not really an auto person, but this one was a good drive.
So i decided to start taking this one apart too, i started off by taking the engine, exhaust, propshaft, gearbox, and the whole switchable loom, which was a proper bastard, anyone whose done this properly will know, it involves taking most of the inside apart, so now im left with the car back to bits again. Thought i'd start the conversion 1st, and do the inside later on, just incase i come up with some other bright ideas which involved me taking it apart again.
At the moment ive got 2 engines, im going to keep the engine that was in there as it was a really really tight engine in my opinion anyway, and use my other engine that ive kept from one of my other ones, as im going to put the charger back on, but this time, get an intercooler system done for it, get it the mechanical part sorted out properly first so that its running how it should be, as it was drinking too much petrol before. Then recycle most of the parts from my other car onto this.
Whilst it was sitting there, waiting to collect my parts for the maual conversion, i made a start on the underneath of it, started by changing the standard ARB to eibach ones, got some lowered H&R Cup springs, bilstein dampers and front struts with some lowering springs, also he hooked me up with some grooved discs (thanks for that) from MrDazzle, which i managed to put on, just need the rear droplinks for it though. Will have to see if how this will sit once the rest of its back together, hopefully it will look ok, as it sitting nicely from the rear at the moment.
Havent put the wilwoods on yet, going to see how good the discs on there are once i start driving it, then maybe ill change them at the later stage, as ill have to bleed the system cos ive got the Goodridge braided hose pipes on the other legs and will have to do the rears too, which i'll do all together.
So at the moment its just sat outside, as im waiting to get a few bits for my manual conversion. Now the weathers changed, it doesnt look like its going to be finished any time soon
Did have another camera which i took pictures the engine and the rest of the car being taken apart, but again ive managed to lose my F'in pictures.
Will update when i make a start on it or when i remember something else that ive not written....
