Worth checking out the group buy by Kos on Safetydevices roll cages as they will fit in and keep the sunroof also he might also know people who can help with seats and harnesses as he is building an awesome track day M3

Seeing as this thread is still going...
I've since acquired a safety devices 6pt roll cage for the e30, which has a horizontal bar welded in on the rear cage in addition to the diagonal. Would this extra horizontal bar be the best place to have the harness mounts?

The best place for the harnesses is on the harness bars as you suggest. If you mount them via the floor the forces can go against you in a bad accident, pulling back on the mountings and braking your back.Theo325 wrote:Yes, vey much like that! The rest of that cage looks a bit tasty though.
