Hey, anyone know if these are replacement kidneys or if they are clip ons?

This would be a replacement kidney, but you can do the job yourself with a spray can of satin black paint and a wee bit of sanding.

yeah.. i thought about that, i just want a propper job and im pretty sure the ebay ones aren't painted its just black plastic. i asked the seller that, if its painted il do it myself, if not aye!!! :cool:

paint it yourself like everyone else does and spend the money you've saved on sherbert and black-jacks 8)

prime and sprey the whole set of front grills with satin black, that way you get a factory plastic dechrome look with no difference in colour across the grill. thats what i did here:

if you look at that one on ebay the kidney grill look a slightly different colour to the rest of the grill/

Sprayed mine about 2 years ago and so far no chips. Plus the grill takes 5 minutes to take on and off so a quick touch up should be a problem.

ok il spray it! ah.. whats the procecure?, whats the best paint for it and what grit paper should i use?

make sure the chrome is realy clean, iv been using 400 grit rotary sander pads to do mine but it think there finer than normal paper so id say about 800 grit or more for hand, use some primer and spery away.

the only chipping problems iv had were when i swung the engine into it. :x
