I purchased some a few weeks back and was disappointed to find instead of orange lamps, there were two seperate lenses, one clear outside and an orange insert.

Has anyone else had this?

I've contacted the seller on ebayer and asked for them to send me two orange lamps but doubt I'll get anywhere.

As has been said, this is common place how they are sold, just remove the amber inserts and fit some orange, or silver bulbs.

Did you use the BMW gaskets, or the supplied gaskets?

Funny questions, but what's the deal with silver bulbs? Are they road legal and how do they look when flashing?

The Osram bulbs are E marked, and are road legal, lots of cheaper alternatives out there that are probably not E marked.

Basically, they flash orange, but don't look orange behind a clear lamp.

I personally don't like them on older cars, they give a strange colouration to the clear lens.

I purchased the clear indicator lens's and side repeaters, I also need the bulbs. I think the build quality of the side repeaters is terrible and I can't bring myself to put them on. I think at some point the originals will become more desirable, you can't argue with the bmw spec originals, at least the quality if not the colour of the side repeaters.

I agree Pony, I like the fact they are clear only, but the finish of the plastic on the aftermarket items is rough and ready. I also think the prices they charge for two (or 4) bits of plastic is a rip off.

My side ones from the same company are better quality, BUT there is water ingress where as there wasn't before!!! I used the original BMW rubber seals, but the water must be getting in from somewhere else on the new indicators...............

I'm a fussy bast*rd at the end of the day, but when I buy something I expect it be as it states.
