Real easy....
You'll need the window motor mechanisms and the wiring looms from both rear doors. these unplug just inside the pillar, there is a nice little access panel where your front seat belts go down into the trim.
Then you need all the switches including the isolator for the rears.
Optional parts are the rear door cards and the centre console where the swithes mount.
The wiring from the centre console to the rear pillars is pre installed, you just need to swap the door looms over.

Hi - did this conversion on my 320i 4 door - it already had all the in-door wiring, I just bought door cards for the rear with holes for leccy switch. you can probably get away with existing door cards, just cut out where the switch goes - someone on Ebay was selling blanking plates 4 holes where manual winders go. The centre console is ally sheet covered with foam/vinyl - the holes for the extra switches are already in the ally, so I just cut through from the underneath with a stanley knife using the ally as a guide - perfect cut-outs 4 the rear window switches & child rear window isolator switch.

The small looms into the doors seem to be present on about half the cars I've come across. Not related to age or model as far as I can see. Seems random, so if you are getting the motor assemblies from a scrapyard, then grap the looms as well. If you don't need them, someone on here will.

I'm planning on doing the same thing with my '88 Touring. I took the rear door cards off and found the plug end of the wiring loom neatly "zap strapped" (Canadian term?) to the inside of the door. I love Bavarian efficiency!
So, correct me if I'm wrong, it's as simple as getting a couple of motors from my local wrecker, hooking up the wiring and bolting them to some existing holes inside the door? Does the stub from the manual window crank remove easily?
TIA

You disconnect the manual winder from the glass by removing two 6mm bolts on the bracket just at the bottom of the glass. Wind the window down just enough to access the bolts, then tape / wedge the glass in place and remove the other 6mm bolts holding the winder in place.
Fit the electric mechanism complete to all the pre drilled mounting holes.
Really easy. Note: You have to fit the switches in the console, and the switches in the door card for the windows to work.
