got my m3 engine today

collected my engine and associated bits 95 m3 but it does nt seems to have ews nothing on the ignition barrel and only one module behind the glovebox and it had nt got anything to say it was ews so that should save a bit of hassle

Sounds like a 3.0L, don't think the EWS started until '96 - but i could be wrong!

Jan '95 onwards.

Sounds like you could be lucky there - I only went for the 3.0ltr because I didnt want EWS, was a bit of a shock when it turned up.

Did you get all the engine loom, ECU and Vanos ECU with it? Should be easy enough to wire up if you got all the loom etc, and not having the EWS stuff to do as well is a bonus

yea got everything i need with it i think. The engine was out so i had to re install it get it running and take it back out yesterday

Cool good to see there s a few people here getting around the fact it s so hard to get anything here and postage is so expensive to ship stuff

Have you got the ignition key? You can tell if it's got EWS by they key itself.

Post up a pic of it if possible. Great news for ease of installation if it is non EWS

cheers lads its a non ews so making installation a bit easier progressing slowly at the moment as busy with work but managed to move my golf brake servo across using the plans of the plates i got here have the move the bulkhead reinforcement too but that worked out well using bits of an e34 to extend the arms and a good few other bits will start a post up soon with a few more pics of my progress cheers for all the support guys
