Next day off rear bumper will be removed and prep so that the pre face lift can go straight on.

Had lot's of problem's removing the rear bumper. Took an angle grinder to it in the end. All ready of tech 1 rightness now. Taken the skirt's off too. Next job is remove engine and gearbox, but that can wait a while. Still not found any rust yet.

Ok will add some pic's tomorrow. Sport is stripped of the cage, Bucket's, nos and Body kit. Will be losing the engine and running gear out of the touring over the weekend. Never realised how much rust can creep up on a old car so quickly. Can see into the boot and out the other side.

Today stripped out elec windows, sun roof. OBC, Cruise controll, Shift light and Adjustable rev limter. Bluethooth, reverse plasma dials and complete dash. + the rest of the nos kit. Now I need to get the shell up to the farm and the motor and running gear swap can begin..

Oh yeah, bought a 72 1200cc beetle aswell just to add to the project headache..

It's solid black basic model. Has a single port 1500 engine. Will do New fuel pump, Rejet the carb, new coil and leads ect. Bit of wealding good polish, clean up the inside. And then I will sell or cal look it as I have some early 62/63 wing's bonnet and deck lid with popes nose already. It has us bumpers already with towel rails, front is dropped and has some funky alloys from a 912(i belive) on it. It's at my old man's till I get the sport down the farm. Then When I bring it home pic's no prob's. At the moment it has an inch of dust for each year it has been stored. (7)

Already in the touring as the pic's show... Have one full cage left with single removeable diagnol. £650 all in. But some more on the way too if you want double diag/ dd and harness bar.

No damage.. Just rust worm got in too many places.. Sport is on the right with loads of red showing.

Jhonno rust is an understatement and a half. The whole rear of the car went soft, as in you can put your finger through almost anywhere and the sub frame mount collapsed on one rear off side. whilest drifting lol.
