If its a tidy as it looks why not use it as a good base car and start tweeking it to get it more like an e30 you would want to drive? Does look tidy Alex :D

Because they are the height of council. (rich coming from me, I know)

It's a nice subtle car. BK's would ruin it IMO.

That is a hard car to value. Yes its a tidy early chromer but will always be hampered by being an undesirable thirsty and slow carb 316. A model that nobody particularly wants and subsequently struggle to sell. Harsh but true I'm afraid.

If you want rid, a really good ebay advert with a load of decent pictures is probably your best bet.

Decent early E30's are getting less by the week though so fix the arches and get a couple of years rwd experience in a modestly powered E30 before moving up the bhp ladder. Early chromers have a retro appeal thats lacking in the facelift cars IMO. 8) winkeye

Sorry to tell you this mate but its not worth as much as these guys are saying it is! My B reg looks exactly the same as yours but its a 320i and I've been struggling like mad to sell it. New cambelt, waterpump, fanbelt, gaskets etc.. and only 112 thousand miles, originally had it up for £800 ended up dropping right down to £500 and still with loads of tax and MOT no-one wanted it. Had it advertised on every free car sales site and forum I could think of as well. On ebay at the moment and looks like it will sell for bugger all on Saturday! Sorry dude. Nice car, may as well keep hold of it though as it is worth not a lot!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-BMW-320i-320 ... otohosting

is it this one i think you have had it advertised on here^^^

Nice looking car but judgine by the pics its not as clean as me 316 winkeye i think it would benifit you getting the wheels refurbed ive had mine powder coated in a modern silver colour and it sets the whole car of alot better it makes all the difference, i only had to pay for new center badges lol :D :D

the only place i have rust is the arches and a tiny spot on the bonet amazing considering the mileage  its got new bumpers front and back so there not rusty either

but its only a 316 as mentioned above

Yeah, fair play but Ive taken photos of every single last blemish on the whole car to avoid none payers, I bet if i brought my camera to yours I could do the same thing! Its only the back bumper that lets it down aesthetically and even then its only that bit of it. It seems pretty much on a par and its pretty low mileage - I reckon you'd have similar troubles as me if you tried to sell it. If I were you I'd keep hold of yours and not feel guilty bout modifying a good condition early one (like i was made to!) as it aint worth much! Lower it, bang on some tasty alloys, nice exhaust and filter and tidy up the rusty bits. The 1.6 will keep the cost down so jobs a goodun. Main reason I wanted to sell mine was fuel economy. Anyway, like I said, nice E30! Not tryin to piss on your bonfire buddy!!

Good luck selling chromeys - my last '87 E30 320iSE 2-door, despite looking stunning in Lachs silver with new exhaust, full MOT, all electrics working, etc. was hard work selling and I eventually found a buyer at £600.

The M10 is a great basis for tuning 8)

Put it on Ebay and add 'will export to Ireland' on the desciption. The Paddies love a clean 4 cyl two door. make it clear that you'll pick up an Irish buyer from a nearby airport - I'm sure Ryan air does Dublin-Newcastle.
