morning pepz tried cleaning out the tb and the icv yesterday evening as per the article on the forum. now it seems to rev at near the two mark when the engine warms up. (BLOODY LOUD) it also is apain to start in the morning. I rember when i took the tps of the tb i could not hear any click. Could that be any issues. Please help coz its like a trakter on diesel!!!

NB: if i push the throttle cable valve in it goes down fair bit. (the bit on top of the tb the connets to the accellarating cable.

in my not very experienced opinion it sounds that maybe your TPS needs adjusting. Mine makes a loud click when you come off idle ( only audible with engine off and bonnet open........ ) If it was wrong the ecu would not know when the butterfly was closed?

have you slackened off the throttle stop screw ?
It stops the throttle from closing completely and holds it open if it has previously been fiddled with.

sorry guys had to go out of the office. i havent fiddled with the cable what so ever. This whole nightmare stated since i had my head replaced. it did start playing up a bit before replacing the head. It use to take few cliks and some pressure on the throttle b4 statring. but now since new head replacement its gone worse. Before yesterday evening it would be okay in the morning but then when reached normal temperature it would idle above the 1 mark. Funny thing is the rev goes down when im in gear as if its normal. I dont know if that helps. I probably would need to replace the tps coz i didnt hear no click, also i forgot to clean the inside where the tb spindle goes in. Should I try that??

HELP! it sounds horrible.

cheers guys for your help. It bloody does reassure one that there not out there alone without help. :D

sometimes accelerator cable cover gets stuck on bracket underbonnet, ask a mate to push the throttle while you look under bonnet.
