Following on from this thread: Click

...Oakey and I are meeting at Santa Pod on Sunday.

If anyone else wants to join us, the more the merrier...

Now I have an uprated fuel pump and my fuel surge issues are sorted I'll be hoping to beat my 14.2. Having said that the temps are so low at the moment I guess traction may be an issue.

Will make sure we report back our findings afterwards. Lets hope it stays dry. :D

If you do come I can bend your ear about those s/c kits.

P.S. are you still interested in my engine crane?

Still up for that crane dude, indeed !

As for the SC kits, I can slip one in the mix on the group buy Ste, you dont need to go the standalone route either on the M52/50, RRFPR is pretty much all you'll need, they do in excess of 300 hp non intercooled too fella :thumb:

Cant make Sunday TBH, I think I'd end up single.......

No point turning up to a drag strip with an oil leak mate, if the scrutineers are doing their job you won't be allowed out and will have wasted your sign on fee etc.

There was a (fake looking) C2 in the car park that had the high beam popped out, burger king wheels, loads of Alpina stickers stuck everywhere - rear parcel shelf, dashboard etc.. The highbeam cold air inlet was obviously to help it stay cool in the car park as it didn't go near the track.

There was a pretty nice looking B6 in the car park too- proper LHD, chromie with the cowcatcher etc., but again it stayed in the car park.

Only other E30 I saw go up the strip was a standard looking red Sport.

Anyway, it was freezing and traction was pretty appaling. My first 1/8th was pretty bad this time as I had very little grip. The car's running better with that new fuel pump though and my 2nd 1/8th was quicker this time and my terminal was better. Best I managed though was a 14.30 ET but my terminal was up to 99.77MPH. I reckon with a stickier track I should be in the 13s next visit.

Any M20s are still welcome to come and challenge......

Thats some good times there ste m20 boys were obviously (and rightly) scared so made their excuses and hid..

What were your comparative 1/8th times? Previous Terminals?

Gives me hope for some good times in my wee thing (if i ever get someone to shim the damn thing :x  )

Haven't got the slips with me to check the 1/8th times - compared them at home last night and I think I was about 1 second quicker over the first 1/8th last time.

Best time last visit was a 14.2 but at only 96MPH.
