hey all ,
been given a used working e46 maplight by a mate of mine.

it comes with a centre light ..two reading light (left n right )
and two leds that lightly illuminate the centre console @ night .

just wondering has anyone here fitted one on an e30 b4?

im figuring that there is some mods to be done to the wiring loom of maplight.

could anyone shed some light on whether this is possible ?

cheers
.
got a photo of it from ebay . looks like this,

Would have to sacrifice the CHECK PANEL, but that could easily be moved slighlty forward just underneath the sunroof motor Id say.

Very good mod, hope it works because Ill be nicking that idea soon!!!!

Wiring, well you can pick up a live from the courtesy lights I think, more the problem of space and cutting!!!

it definitely works as the light was taken out from an e30 of my mate.
just a matter of modding the space near the sunroof motor ( dont have a sunroof)

might have to cut a bit of here n there at near the checkpanel .
hope to get the led ambience light working...coz they look really good at night especially in my sister's e90 . :D

will take a photo and post once it's done up.
