I've decided the 17" wheels are coming off for this year and I will be putting my 15" BBS's back on after I have refurbed them.

Only problem is I am unsure of what colour to do them.

Option 1: Plain silver

Option 2: Nogaro centres with silver lip

Option 3: Anthracite centres with silver lip

Option 4: Colour coded centres with silver lip

Bearing in mind they will be going on my delhin 2dr so I wont be going darker than the anthracite.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Sorry should have said, polished lip is out of the question as the wheels need to be skimmed with a chemical metal to remove the kerbing marks. :(

plain silver then Dave, unfortunatly imo i think you have one of those colours that dark colourd wheels arent going to suit it.

on a 15" bbs wheel there is a lip which takes 90% of all curb marks, can this be ground down to leave a flat face, the tyre should still seal properly so i cant see a problem, just an idea

"Should" doesn't sound good to me mate!

I want a standard looking set of wheels, but just am unsure of what colour to do them.

Personally I am leaning towards nogaro centres, Weezie has a set on her motorsport cab which is slightly darker than my car and it looks great.

Nogaro would look good.

What about some 16" splitties, I would accept them!

ive got a buckled bbs wheel here so i may try it out and see if it works, as for colours id say standard silver always looks best imo  the tyre seals on the inside off the wheel and is not getting touched so i cant see a problem with grinding the lip down?

with the colour of your car and your attention to detail Dave
I would go for a high finish silver or black chrome

are you looking to do the job yourself or get it done by a pro

Malc. I would be doing them myself. By high silver do you mean a bright metalic?

Oh don't start that Neil, I've only just convinced myself to change

I'm still not 100% sure what to do, but the BBS need a freshen up before I sell them if I keep the 17's anyway.

afaik there shouldnt be a problem with taking the outer lip down a little to get rid of the marks, after all this is all a rim refurbisher does on a lathe. :?

Surely they cant be curbed that badly so that you cant rub them beck and polish them?! It looks soo much better than a silver lip :D

I vote polished lip with nogaro centres :D Car would look truly lush then.

Can i just make a comment please!

Im in the process of refurbin my BBS too, but every refurb company i ask, the likes of BJV engineering and Lepsons say that they cant do a two colour job.

Where do you guys get these done!!!?

I also have a Delphin Grey Sport, but am opting for the polaris Silver with a polished lip.

I would think its doable but would also look tacky imo

Could some possibly photoshop the middle dolphin grey please but keeping the polished lip?

Thanking you.

Oakey, Who did the refurb on your wheels? I'm liking the look of those. :D

Oh it's just so confusing for someone with such a small mental capacity!

Me :D

I say you get the wheel centres painted in whatever colour you want. Ask the refurbers to remove the paint from the rim area and leave it relatively smooth. Then polish them up yourself :D
