I live in Gloucestershire and was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere where i could try out a few different seats.
Im pretty large and most bucket seats ive sat in are horrifically uncomfortable (often i cant really sit in them properly as im too wide around the hips.
Im aware that many have a 'large' size option but ideally i'd like to sit in a few before choosing.

I have the same problem.
Whilst my car was specced with recarro seats from new unfortunatly my parents forgot to tick the recaro arse option when I was birthed.
Get your arse (pun intended) down to some halfraauds where they stock them, usually the bogger stores. Or check out the other shops with burger vans and corsas and fiesta parked up outside.

My wife is BIIIIIIIG. She could never get comfortable in the E30 sport seats (neither could I for that matter and I'm 5'10 and 13st7).
I've now got pukka Recaro's (out of a F**d) - problem solved. They don't seem to be much wider than the BMW seats, but they're way more comfortable for those of us with larger arses.

Sparco EVO comes in 3 different witdh.
I am not the smallest as well and I do fit in a Sparco Pro2000 , Recaro SPG is too small for me.
Keep in mind that a bucket seat is supposed to be tight, it's purpose is to hold you in place when driving hard,
