you can clearly see it's an awsome car. That is probably better in the flesh too
Instead of moaning about the price we should all like the fact that a good one commands good money

Spot on Simon. Considering what rotten Sports can command thats worth 4K in my book.Simon13 wrote:you can clearly see it's an awsome car. That is probably better in the flesh too

give it a few more weeks and im sure itll be down to a more realistic £3500 ish .E30Virgin wrote:Same car listed here for £4950 http://www.autobahnservices.co.uk/Touring.htm
undoubtably it does look like a first class example but its not a low mileage/hardly used e30 so isnt worth that much more than your average FSH well maintained model.ive never seen a 100000+ mile e30 go for the sort of cash the seller is wanting.
as the saying goes its only worth what someone will pay so itll become clear soon exactly how much its worth. 3 or 4 weeks doesnt suggest a great rush for it either.

Cars of this quality would be wasted on most of the natives !
I wonder how many zoners have ever owned an E30 with working headlight adjust, ice cold A/C , headlight wipers that wipe, 5 matching dunlops, zero rust ,zero oil leaks , dry carpets and total history with every mot and invoice from new ? .
Personally i think the mileage is a little high for it to pull that sort of money but quality costs and someone will pay, probably not a zoner though !

I don't doubt for one minute that it's in exceptional condition. Fuzzy's right though - it's only worth what someone's prepared to pay for it. Like Pete said.....
Another spot-on PacerPete observation.pacerpete wrote:Cars of this quality would be wasted on most of the natives ! ......... probably not a zoner though !

If I was looking for one, I'd definately consider this (and paying "nearly" the price for it!). There are a lot of people who want a good car for a cheap car price, I say get real - if it's worth the money, and you can afford it - go for it!

Your all off your rockers. That would be a nice car at 3k off the asking price. Even then it would be strong money imo.
5.25k will get you a lot of car nowadays, a lot more than a clean 325i touring.

Indeed £5250 will get you a serious car nowadays, i have just bought a taxed and tested decent B10 biturbo for £4000 !steerfromtherear wrote:Your all off your rockers. That would be a nice car at 3k off the asking price. Even then it would be strong money imo.

On the other hand if your idea of motoring pleasure is doughnuts and rattle cans ,my £300 325 with leather and LSD would be right up your street !
BUT if you want a really nice 325 touring
and appreciate just how much it costs to get even a half decent one up to scratch £5000 ain't a lot of money.
So you reckon that this 320i Touring for £1995 would be , as you say , Landfill also then ??

I think we should all be pleased the price for E30's is going up especially the ggod one at least when when we do come to sell them we can get some of the hard earnt cash back. And like someone else said it will most probably look even better in the flesh as it looks very clean in the pictures.

Haha you are kinda right but I did use to have money (pre home ownership) and have owned nice cars (tech 1 sport, e36 m3, proper mint e36 328ise etc) and know how I would spend my hard earned. 5.25k would be on a e34 m5 imo.Simon13 wrote:tramp alert* you've missed the point

All horses for courses really I suppose. One man's trash is another mans treasure
Pacerpete I hate you. Number 2 in my dream car list (after the Lotus Carlton)

I remember seeing that car featured in Total BMW a few years back. The guy who owned it worked at Autobahn (hence the dodgy reg plate) and he badged it up as a 318i and stuck a big lump under the bonnet. If you look at the photo of the rear of the car the 318i badge is badly blacked over in Paintshop.
I presume the "One previous lady owner" statement is open to interpretation...nevermind the five or so blokes who owned it aswell...

Where is the engine ? black heated sports leather ? factory a/c?, cruise ?, LSD ? etc etc. No matter how much you polish it it is still a 320 with a grey interior !E30Virgin wrote:BUT if you want a really nice 325 touringand appreciate just how much it costs to get even a half decent one up to scratch £5000 ain't a lot of money.

Actually Gary is Autobahn. That number plate has been on many of his cars including the touring with M3 running gear that was featured in total a few years ago. He sold that a couple of years ago for £6 bags, suprisingly not to a zoner !riche30 wrote:I remember seeing that car featured in Total BMW a few years back.
