Im in love, she drives very nice for an old girl!

I had always wanted one ever since my old lady had one new when I was a wee lad! Im Looking forwarded to fitting a grunter (maybe something DOHC) engine and a few other bits and pieces in the New Year.

Cheers guys.

I have only had it a week. So far added tints, alarm, wheel and gave her the full Meguiars treatment.

Yea the wheels in on the right side, I only fitted it yesterday and realised I can't se my speedometer (KPH BTW) so I will be taking it off and trading it for a bigger one before long.

The aircon cracks me up, I have no idea what the system is but would prefer one that goes through the normal vents and works on demist.

Hey what's wrong with the chrome grill?? I have seen a few painted black.

Bouncing round a few conversion Ideas.. Im keen on a modern 24V 2.5 but am also toying with the idea of a Toyota Altezza 3S-GE (154kw) Beams engine and box..

That's the dealer retrofitted aircon system. Factory one works through the normal vents.

After a weekend club cruise it came to my attention that the wagon wasn't cutting the mustered up against some newer cars so I headed down to my suspension guy to get a few things sorted.
He fitted some VOGTLAND springs a new set of KYB shocks and fitted a few new bushes that were in dire need of repair including the rear sway bar mounts that were actually disconnected on one side. It drives a hell of a lot better now leaving the tires the weakest link.
A couple of pictures.

Next steps will be Alpine/Kicker sounds and a rebuilt M20-25 conversion.

Thanks for having a look.

Car looks sweet, the only thing bugging me is your front bumper. It's got a full tech 2 kit but your bumper looks like a standard bumper.

Thumbs up on the look of it though, got a great stance

True, I hadn't even noticed that. The kit is not factory fitted so maybe the previous owner tried to save a few bob!

Thanks for the compliment, Im happy with the stance as I can load it up and it sits level.

Have done a few track days (Pukekohe/Taupo) and am really enjoying this car, its practical and fun to drive.

Want to replace the front bumper upper with a Tech-II but they are rocking horse shit in NZ, are they easy to come by in the UK?? What are they worth?

Thanks for having a nosy

Is it a special import? E30 tourings were never sold in Australia but maybe NZ?
I love em in all the photos I have seen but never seen one in real life!!

Thanks Digger.

Seems the only market outside of Europe they were sold was NZ, I don’t think they sold many though, other than the E30 race series pace car I have only seen UK imports so mine being NZ new must be rare.

The mtec kits are quite hard to find over here as well but I think they're still available new, so it might be worth putting a post up in the OEM parts section to see if they can post to NZ. If not maybe try your local dealer, I do remember some of the aus guys saying their dealers are really expensive for parts though.

And that is one sweet touring mate. Loving the stance now it's lowered.

Thanks, I have contacted BMW and it works out uneconomical, will just keep searching, biggest problem is that whenever I do find one the rest of the kit comes with it and it works out more expensive than a new one!! Catch 22.

The induction kit isn’t a kit, it’s a home build using a BMC type enclosed pod and random braces, works well though as it sits nicely in the cold air cut out.

Very, very nice! So clean and minty-looking..............

As a sidenote, the kidneys look good in chrome. I had mine black for years but reckon the car has more BMW presence with the chrome kidneys, so converted back.......if that makes any sense at all ...........

Yep, I like mine in chrome, blacked out makes it look like there is something missing.

Car is reasonably mint, few scratches here and there but the colour is fantastic for hiding them
