right people,

after spending a good amount of time getting my E30 running really nice, performing well and giving good MPG I wrote this guide.

It's pretty basic, probably got loads of speeeeeeeling mistakes and there aren't many pictures but hopefully will be helpful to fellow zoners & zonerettes.

click the link below to be amazed, you'll need adobe acrobat reader to view it. It's 127k so good for 56k users.

Nice one andy, really helpful and probably likely to increase perfomance and driveability more than bolting on an exhaust and air filter

Cheers for the comments, glad you like it!

If it won't open, try right clicking and "Save As" some versions of Adobe handle direct opening better than others.

Excellent article Andy - well written and very relevant. Nothing in there that should scare even the novice mechanic and all worthwhile maintenance as far as i know.

this is a very good article the only problem is some of us are new to the mechanical sides of things so it does help when there is plenty of pictures to help aid the process.

but very good otherwise. :)

well done mate
it looks all pretty straight forward

1 question i have though
is this intended just for a 320i or does it cover all the engines
right across the board

Sorry about the lack of pictures people, I did the job and then took pictures of some spare parts I've got as I wasn't going to strip it down again for the photos. (and didn't want to ruin my Sony camera taking pictures as I did the job) This also explains the filthy throttle body!

The principles behind it should work for all motronic based cars, but the specifics such as air gaps might be different for 4 pot cars.

It should be fine for 325's though.
