hey paul, i managed to fit mine last weekend finally it feels great but we had to bend the bar that links the lever to the gearbox as it was hitting the prop.
has anyone else had this problem as i thought you only had to do this on the 2.8 shifter?
the throw was dramatically reduced on mine!
also the yellow washers you gave me i only managed to use one as we could not get the two to fit?

The yellow washers are for the gearbox end of the shift rod.
Due to the bush in base of lever protruding out yellow washers are
no longer needed.
