This is truely one of the best Classic Car shows that i've ever been to as well. We went last year, invited by Jeremy Browne and Iain. This show featured some of the best examples of every marque that you can think of, an absolute must

An E30 touring, two E28 M5's and an E28 528i.

yes i thought that too some fantastic cars some of wich i have owned god . but last time we was invited as guests of bmwcc just wondering this time are we going on our own if you see what i mean nice cars though

My suggestion is that we again support Jeremy, I know there are certain politics afoot but personally I think Jeremy (Bomber) does a first class job and has the right spirit and attitude.gaszman wrote:July sunday 20th 10;00am start

So if peeps are in agreement, we can meet somewhere beforehand and convoy in together.
For those who have not been before its a stunning setting, one of the best selection of incredible classic cars that I have ever seen, a good autojumble section and the castle to be explored.

I would really like to go to this as have been before but only as a visitor. I will get back to you for definite though as I'll see if my Dad thinks he can get the rust done and new bodykit sprayed and fitted by then. He's a busy man, the kits been sat in the garage for the past 6 months already and hasn't been touched!

Mods, change the title, it's spelled 'Sherborne'.......
I went a couple years ago, quite a small concern. A real cloth cap, pipe and slippers type show. Automotive jumble, some nice motors and pretty surroundings.
Not really a patch on the Yeovil Show, but the organisers and the landowners are at logger heads, so 30 years of tradition have gone to waste by way of some egos....
Bomber is a good bloke, worth going just to meet him if you haven't. He's well connected, has some great cars too.

.......er.....no he can't......not exactly....cabrio wrote:Gazman...think it was looked at but coincides with other events like the concours at Waddesdon...but sure you can help organise it for BMWCC members if you want to
But I can't say why just now..........
BMWCC national and local committee are talking about this att as there are problems. Please don't get wound up and just wait and I will do my best to update you all soon.
(In case you are not aware, I am part of the local ctte and feel it would be good to support this event, but, as said, there are problems, so patience please, and watch this space.....)
Gaszman, nice to see you on Sunday, pity I couldn't stay longer.

Nice to see you on Sunday Richard, good of you to make the effort to turn up in your lunch break.
Feel free to PM me if there's anything the Zone can do mate. Committee member to Mod...

JEEEEEZUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
With all due respects to some very decent guys who are members of BMWCC
HERE WE FECKN GO AGAIN
Where that organisation is concerned it s nothing but politics and personalities
Guys stay away from anything to do with the Sherborn Castle meet as far as the BMWCC is concerned - contact the organisers direct and organise an e30 stand
And in fact in my case i will continue stay away from anything the BMWCC organises in perpetuity

Guys
If Jeremy is running it contact him as he organises a good event and he has no issues or problems with anyone...as Iain has said it is a good show and I was not aware that it was one of Jeremys before
Go for it and enjoy...he will know if they is a BMWCC stand and be able to sort things...
No problems or politics with car club members just want an easy life, lets just get some good cars at displays and have a great time at some of the shows in 2008 after all it is a big year for the E30

Good advice.ivqii wrote:Guys stay away from anything to do with the Sherborn Castle meet as far as the BMWCC is concerned - contact the organisers direct and organise an e30 stand
Interloper...dont think thats fair...and not the way to build bridges...it should not be a case of them and us and you cant criticise others if you adopt that position...as stated whether you are an official club member or not if you have an E30 you love the cars and want to enjoy them and share that with other enthusiasts...I would assume
Cabrio, I think Interloper is just saying to go direct to the organisers rather than through the BMWCC, don't think he's being disrespectful. He is on the committee...cabrio wrote:Interloper...dont think thats fair...and not the way to build bridges...it should not be a case of them and us and you cant criticise others if you adopt that position...as stated whether you are an official club member or not if you have an E30 you love the cars and want to enjoy them and share that with other enthusiasts...I would assume
