Pin 1 blue, Alternator
pin 2 blue white oil level not used
pin 3 black white, Fuel rate to cluster
pin 4 brown violet, coolant
pin 5 brown green, oil pressure
pin 6 white green, not used
pin 7 green, Ignition
pin 8 black violet, not used
pin 9 black, rev counter
pin 10 blue yellow, oil level not used
pin 11 white green, diagnostic to dash ( not used)
pin 12 grey, not used
pin 13 green violet, fuel pump
pin 14 back white, speed output
pin 15 brown black, auto to ecu
pin 16
pin 17
pin 18 black yellow, starter
pin 19 green blue, not used
pin 20 brown yellow, coolant

These are what I've gleaned off of the wiring diagrams so may not be 100%

Not used is probably to do with auto units, the blank ones I don't know

So did you run the black wire from the c104 to pin 9? & did it start before you did any mods to the c101 / c104? Mine doesn't! :(

Ziggy,
To be honest mate some people just plug the c101 in and the thing starts. I was a bit dubious about doing this cos mine is a pre facelift and there has been some horror stories ftom Brian Moore about burnt out looms caused by extra earth connections.
What I did was Identify and label the wires and pull them all out of the engine side of the c101 plug.
I then identified the ones I needed to make it run and refitted them to the c101 making sure that they corresponded to the wires on the car loom side of the c101.

HTH

I ran a wire from c104 to the black wire that was in pin 9 of the c101.
