fuel pump problems help needed!!!!

your help would be much appreciated. I have just had to fit a new fuel pump to my is. There doesnt seem to be any power to the pump, i have checked the fuse box and everything is ok with that. does anybody have any other sugestions please???

Orange relay under the plastic bulkhead cover.
Pull that out and bridge pins 30 and 87,that should make the pump work,if it doesnt then possibly a faulty relay.
Also worth checking the 2 pin connector that goes onto the pump is a nice tight connection.Ive had 2 recently that had duff connections there giveing indications of a knackered pump!

thanks for the info eko, i have put a multi meter on the 2 wires that go into the pump and i get nothing, i have found the orange relay but not sure how to bridge the pins? is that just running a wire between the to pins?

Bridge the terminals in the relay socket itself.

You do realise that there shouldn't be any power to the fuel pump unless the engine is turning?

what i mean when i say theres no power goin 2 the pump is that doesnt prime when i turn the ignition on. Sorry am prety usless when it come 2 cars although i am learnin.
