Hi Guys
I have recentally purchased a 360hp e30 cosworth. I have got a track day booked this friday - my first one! Any good advice for bits I should bring? Tyre pressures etc. I have already done a fluid chance and fitted mintex pads.
cheers Dan

Tape up lights, bring and attach your towing eye (remove the plastic bit on the bumper to fit it), put a lot of fuel in as you'll use quite a bit. Bring oil, esp as you have a cossie! Camera is a good idea, an in-car one would be cool too - you're allowed at brands as long as properly mounted. i was there the other day, the e30 was really good even in the wet, some pics for you (sorry no on track ones)!

Hi Dan, make sure you only go into Paddock as fast as you are comfortable with. A sniff of lift off if you are in too hot and you will be reversing into the gravel
. Otherwise same as everywhere else really, get all the crap out of the boot and remove everything thats going to be rolling around inside, usual mechanical checks, get some instructor time if you haven't been round Brands before, and build to lap record pace slowly rather than trying to achieve a new record before lunch
. Do a youtube search for some in car stuff, it'll give you an idea of where the corners are and if you can see the cones in the video it gives you a bit of a feel for the suggested corner lines. Most of all you aren't there to prove anything so do your own laps and enjoy it, don't be intimidated by the regulars (or experts as they like to call themselves
) showing you how fast they are by climbing all over your bumper, they'd be world champions if only they had the breaks and sponsorship, didn't have job commitments, family pressures blah blah blah. Let them get on with it.
