Good set of speakers but if you can push your budget these are a little better.

Double check the depth if they are for the front footwells.

i only ever have alpine as they are really good quality.

Its all about preference, Alpine treble a lot, Infinity are bassier, ill have a fish around tomorrow see if I can find some others. What type of music/headunit/price are you looking for. Falls asleep.

A little over budget, I had these some time ago and liked them a lot

If not id say the infinties are the best buy. You could try using 17cm in the rear shelf like I did with spacers for bass. I need my boot so i didnt want a sub.

I have a set of those infinities - and they are quite the opposite in fact!Moz wrote:Its all about preference, Alpine treble a lot, Infinity are bassier, ill have a fish around tomorrow see if I can find some others. What type of music/headunit/price are you looking for. Falls asleep.![]()

When installed in my golf, the tweeters were very bright, but a little work on the positioning should hopefully sort that out in the E30 - when they eventually go in. BTW - you're the first person I've ever heard recommend any xplop gear!
The infinities are still good for the money though.

Infinities ared definately the best recommendation so far, the alpines sound like its just a tweeter running
The xplod's are good speakers, they just dont like too much power, they do sound good on head unit power

Wanted: Any old component speakers, complete or separate parts, let me know what you got

They will fit with no problems, however I alway's found infinity to sound flat. Rainbow are the only one's for me.
You get what you pay for for. A rule that seem's to be solid with audio.
I rekon you could pick up some mb quarts for the same money as the infinity and be much happier..

I can guarantee that those infinities are anything but flat.
Don't forget that they are cheap, but mainly because they are a few years old now, and probably coming to the end of their run.
As we all know, the installation and setup is as important as the choice of speaker.

Rainbow are Top Class stuff but with price tags to match, MB Quart ive had a couple of dodgy fakes when I bought them cheap. Money does usually deifine quality.
