At 'The Pod' I noticed a few cars with rubber seals either side of the bonnet between the wing and bonnet. Visible from the outside. I think the stunning red M3 in the zone stand had them.
Where can I get some?

Also, I know most of you guys hate bras, but I want one so any advice as to the best ones and places to buy them would be great.

Many thanks :D

Not as a permanent thing, just for long motorway journeys. I'm also making some covers for the rear of the skirts where they get chipped to feck

I dont see the point in chipping up lovely paintwork and I dont want to be scared to drive it :D

Thanks DaveD

There just going to be black or grey vinyl wrapped neatly over the section and fastened ant the rear with poppers or something.

Should do the job though. No matter what, I think that it will look slightly odd but I think its a good idea

Bonnet edge seals look good! Had them on myold iS. But i doubt very much you'll be able to fit a bonnet bra with these edge seals in place.

The M3 evo bonnet seals really keep engine heat in.
I have them on my cab and watch the onboard computer temp sensor rise when stuck in traffic.
Its weird as the heat escapes through the front wheel arches. I noticed as I had the window down.

Armourfend is a thick self adhesive vinyl sheet, Not the usual clear sheets you buy from staples tho.

It is the sort of stuff that you find on big money sports cars and the likes.

Could be worth contacting your local guy for some, he may have some offcuts from jobs that will do the areas you need to cover.

http://www.armourfend.co.uk/

(Please don't be tempted to use clear vinyl as a cheap substitue, I have seen it cause loads of damage to paint due to the glue reacting when a stone hits it!)

I understand the bra... even if it is as homo as a man with... well, a bra...

But whats with the toblerone holders? What purpose do they serve?

Help the driver aim at small school children and ensure a clean kill. They deflect the blood over the windscreen.

Oh my bad DaveD.

Come to think of it most of my stone chips appear on my valence, which makes this "bra" kind off useless.

Is there anything else that would be recommended for motorway chips?

Cheers

The leading edge of the bonnet doesn't really suffer so much from stonechips, but the toblerones diffuse the air passing over the bonnet and massively reduce bug splatter on your windscreen.

I got mine from the states... Pelican Parts, worked out about £40-50 delivered quite quickly.
