No not being sarcastic.
Not saying youll get the rear brake conversion done in that time but you can get it roadworthy again.
Me and OBs did his chrome 318i(M10) about 6 months ago.Mostly rain and he went away about 3pm on the Sunday with it done.
Still little tinkering jobs needed doing but it was perfectly usable for work on the Monday :D

Like Eko said, easily done it in a few days with limited tools on a drive way out side his house, that included welding the bracket on for the twin coils and spraying the enging bay too... (I didnt actually do much) :o:

Also because it was going in my pre face lift Eko wasnt to sure if the main loom plug would match (Cant remember what its called, C10 or something like that)

Go for it you wont be dissapointed
Especially going from 1.6 winkeye

Just had a relpy from ChrisW and he says he has everything exept the front struts, would they be easy to find? And cost wise?

Ok,

I recently bought a suspension kit and its installed, a long with a exhaust system (half) I think.

Would these need to be changed then to accomodate the m42?

Depending what size the struts are?

'ISs' were fitted with Mtec suspension as fitted to the 6 pots etc

Exhausts are totally different :x

Ok, what difference would it make though? How would the engine effect the suspension when they are a total different area.

Upgrading the front legs to 51mm is something you could do later on.Your 316 will have solid front disc brakes so you will wanting the 318is vented ones(come with the struts).

Exhaust is totally different so just get the iS one.

Cool,

Well been offered one with roughly 120,000 miles on it, but I, worried about how long it would last.

Is it rare to find an m42 with less than 100,000 on it?

Also what are the cheap mods for power preferably bottom end when ive got it installed?

That is pretty low mileage to be honest

Rare'ish yes

A zone chip or similar will release a few horses, throttle bodies if you can afford them... But the factory exhaust cant really be beaten performance wise

Try searching for M42 mod's on here...
