Iv got an E30 tourer 320, im considering dropping a 2.5 lump into it was just wondering how hard or easy it would be to attempt the job myself?
Also weather it is worth it, like would it be worth keeping faith in this engine an playing around with it not sure what the best to do for moneys worth etc??????
Thanks
Conversion 320 to 325??

if by playing around with the 2.0 you mean tuning it up its easiest and cheaper to swap for a 2.5 that will have 40bhp more to start with. and your touring will already have the same suspension and brakes as the 325

not a problem mate! im just after the info myself so i can ahve a idea of what to do, i hear there are 2 2.5 engones? one a 12V and a 24V?
is it just a case of droping the old one out and replaceing it with the bigger cc lump and ecu? or is it a lot harder than that? if there are 2 2.5 engines is it any harder to fit the 24v in (i asume i have a 2.0 12v)
thanks for the replys so far guys

im no expert but iirc the 24v 2.5 is from the later e36 3 series and gives about 192bhp.lots of folk here have done this swap so there will be plenty info in the engine swaps section.
