You should not run a 325i chip in a 320i.

There is a specific chip for the 320i.

Older ECU's will need some light modifications.

Sal, didn't you get my pm's? I'm after the 318is chip please. Car was built 07/90. You need any more info?

Payment, paypal or card over the phone? Also want to talk suspension and remapping with you.

£40 looks like a bargain to me. What do you claim the chip does?

12 bhp. We did some tests recently on a zoners car and have the dyno sheets if required.

Do the chips solder in then? How difficult a job is swapping them over? I might obtain a spare ECU.

Not a solder job, direct swap for the chip you have in at the moment. Look in the articles sections for a how to guide

Guide is for the 320/325, I've got a 318iS, but I assume that it's the same.

Personally I think that 12BHP is a bit optimistic, but I shall be finding out soon.

Pm agreen, he has an IS on which the chip was mapped for, it was rolling roaded at around 12bhp increase with graphs.

Does it matter about manufacturing date if I was to use one IS chip on two engines... One engine is a '91, the other is a '89/90

Thanks

If the Software number (the number on the chip) is the same then there is no problem. If not then it won't be ideal on one of the cars.
