Hi there, I have been offered some basically brand new 18" wheels by a friend of mine for £300. (inc tyres) Long story - not stolen! lol!
This is so cheap I cant say no - unless they wont fit!
Spec is as such - Team Dynamics Jet
PCD 4 x 100
18" x 7.5"
ET 37
Am I right in assuming that these will fit with correct spacers?
I know handling will suffer and that I will need some work on the arches, but the final twist is that its lowered 35mm rear and 40mm front bilstien shocks eibach springs. Any ideas anyone?

I'm pretty sure you will need spacers!

I know if they will fit i'll need spacers for sure, I'm more concerned about the clearance/suspension/rubbing issues. I presume 7.5" is about as wide as you would want to go?

They'll be fine, but like you said, arches will need slight rolling/flaring.

I've got some 7x18's with a 40 mm offset and 215/35/18's and lowered 60/40 with 30 mm spacers(to clear my Brembo's) and the tyre rubs on the plastic arch liner at about 3/4 to full lock.
You might need a 10-15mm spacer on the front and possibly a 15mm spacer on the rear.
When i have 16's fitted with 225/45 tyres, they can occasionally catch on the wing lip.
No problems with them fitted to the rear (with a 15mm spacer).

Only a side shot at the moment.oze30 wrote:dave.. do you have any pics?
with a 60/40 drop and a boot full of audio stuff
[/I'll have to refit them if you'd like more
This is the 16's fitted with a 40m offset and 225/45/16 tyres which have an almost identical circumferance as the 215/35/18's
The 225's sometimes catch on the lip and on plastic the arch liner

That's a 7" rim with a 30mm spacer on the front and a 15mm spacer on the rear
This is why I needed the 30mm spacers

If running with a standard brake setup, then it's highly likely that you would need no more than a 10 or 15mm spacer

Bad news - wheels wont fit due to centre bore - checked it out and not gonna happen.
So, im thinkin of going back to my original plan - 16" deep disk borbet wheels. (try to keep up people!) they are available in 16" x 7.5" or 16" x 9" (would prefer the latter).
Any probs with this? and what sort of drop in suspention will be suitable? is 40mm ok, or do we think 60mm would be better?

is the cntre bore too small or large? If it's large you could get spigot rings. If too small, you could get a spacer made up/purchase? The wheels are too high an offset for an E30 anyways, so a spacer might be the best bet if you really want these wheels!

its too small - I thought id check that for sure but its a no go. It was only cos they were going so cheap and prob would have looked good. So like I said, back to plan a which is smooth and deep dish wheels. I think its prob for the best that I go 16" rather than 18", I suppose the car will still go round corners now!
