Cant unlock 1988 316???

I have very recently (today) bought a 1988 car and having proudly parked it on my drive and locked it, i now cant unlock it. I locked the car using the dirvers door and the key position is now horizontal but will not move.

Please put me out of my misery if any one knows what could be wrong??

ive had the same trouble with mine mate it gets stuck occasionaly in the deadlock position try spraying some wd40 or sommuat like that down key hole and try it again watch you dont snap the key in the barrel though PS welcome to the zone m8

Try unlocking it from the boot!
That should work

it wouldnt open from the boot but WD40 and brut force got it in the end.

I will be using the boot from now on as that doesnt seem to have any problems.

keep using wd for a few days when i did mine sorted itself out now works fine sorted
