I've looked on ebay, autotrader etc but I thought I would ask the experts. I know there are many variables with cars and some people are willing to pay way over the top, likewise some don't wanna spend a penny more than they have to.

So roughly, would you give me an idea of what my 318iS is worth please.

1990 H
Red
71K miles
100% Standard & usual iS spec
Exceptionally clean interior (slight tear on driver's seat bolster)
Serviced regularly but no service book, just invoices etc
14" standard wheels and excellent tyres
Solid bodywork
13 months MOT :)
Tax
Mechanically A1

Just a rough figure please.

Thanks and great website, I have used it briefly before when looking for an E30 and am always reading about it and your cars.

Cheers

Going on the discription, that is pretty much identicle to mine when i bought it, just with 30k less miles. Mine was up for Ԛ£1500 but i paid Ԛ£1300, so i'd say anything from Ԛ£1200 depending upon the buyer.

Yeah, but surely 30k miles is quite a lot? It's only done 40k in 11 years.

Thanks for your help.

Yes i agree but it depends on the history that comes with the car, i don't think mileage has that big a bearing on the value of a car this age.

You surprise me, I would have thought it was a major plus point! But mileages aren't the be all and end all, car condition is much more important especially on BMW's which can soldier on forever.

condition and how well its been looked after are far more important on cars this age

id say 1600 tbh - looks nice n shiney n some ppl are blinkered by low mileage..

Have you got anything to back the mileage up? If not then the mileage means nothing without it, especially with a worn seat.
My opinion, stick some 15" crosspokes on there, and put it in the trader for Ԛ£2000. :D

The 'wear' on the seat is the size of a 1 pence piece, on the bolster, the rest of the interior is like it came out of the factory. The mileage is backed up by 11 years worth of receipts, with a bill of sale in 1994 for Ԛ£8000, mileage showing 30k.

I think it has to be worth something between Ԛ£1500 and Ԛ£2000, maybe ebay is the way to go.

wear on the seat? seems a bit odd considering the mileage.. mine had 60 something k on and the interior was unmarked and unworn..

Maybe it got snagged on something, the rest of the interior is certainly 71k.
