e30 cab confusion....

ive been offered a g reg 325 cab, however im alittle confused about it, even though its a 1990 which is a "face lift" model its still got the pre face lift rear lights?

And the more I think about it I remembered my cuz use to have a 1991 e30 325 cab which also had the pre face lift lights/chrome bumpers?...but i thought all this stopped in 1987??

So bmw carried on making the chrome/pre 88 type cabs along with the face lifts?

Depends when they were registered also...but can get an H as pre facelift body but not engine

Just out of curiosity...why did bmw carry on making cabs in both versions??

probably had some shells left over mines on a g and is pre facelift

Mine is 1991 H and pre facelift.

I guess they just chucked them out the factory depending on what was in the parts bin. The cab was not made in the same factory as the saloon.

mines a h plate chrome bumper model but with facelift engine if that makes sense

Mines a 91 H (June) and is post facelift with plastic bumpers

The engine changed in 87/88 the body was face lifted in October 90...the BUILD date ..not when it was registered
