I put a BBTB on my 325 today (cheers cabrio327) and all seems to be Ok.
Except my Idle is now 1500rpm. It did this once before and I just disconnected the ICV and cleaned the connector and it has been fine for the past 6 months, I did this today and it made no differance. It looked a bit oily inside the ICV - is this the problem? Or is it more likley to be the TPS not correctly aligned? Cheers

sounds like the throttle plate isn't sealing properly against the seat of the TB

hopefully just some grit or something in there? disconnect the cable and move it open and shut by hand, does it reach the closed position with a smooth bump?

or possibly TPS not aligned correctly so 'throttle closed' switch in it isn't switching when it should?

or just possibly an air leak between TB and manifold.

Cheers Toby. The butterfly is definetly sealing properly, so I think it's either the ICV (I'm off to get some carb cleaner in a min) Or the TPS. I suppose I'll just have to strip it down and re set it. Any other ideas?

Oh well seems to have sorted it's self out now, just had a fiddle with the idle screw and the ICV. I'm gonna get some carb cleaner and clean it anywey.

Hi Widge, Dont forget putting the BBTB on in place of the standard one you will need your CO emissions checked, this can alter your tickover, If you take it to get checked ask them to set it about 1.5, M20s seem to like been set at this, Cheers Dave

Legend mate I'd completley for gotten about this, do Mot places charge a fortune for it? Think the ECU will take a coupla miles to lear new settings too (cheers fozzy for that info).
