Do you mean an "off the shelf" dash display or a custom as mentioned by Dips

When i said "off the shelf" I was referring to Stack/Aim/Race technologies/PI Research/Motec displays
Or even Acewell displaysas used on some bikes and quads

Several of those i've mentioned are "legal" and all are integrated( all you need in 1 package)

They do fit, but at 800+ for the stack dash unit only, not including the speed sensor.. well.. i would. BUT, do you really need it?

The Stack dash does include the speed sensor
There are 2 versions for road cars
1 uses an existing speed sensor and the other comes with the speed sensor
I used to have the ST8131 "road car"dash which came with the speed sensor

Hmm.. But still.. 800+.. even second hand!

Though, deemon twats have a digi dash unit for about 350. not bad, but it's fugly! I'd be tempted to take the afscia off and try a different housing.. maybe something more like the BMW/Stack dash?

You can get 2nd hand Stack's for around £500

OR a new Race Technologies dash2 for £499+vat

If it's going into a track car(not to be used on the road) then something like an acewell would do for between £80-£170

nah.. road car Dave. Where have you seen them for that price? I was on motorsport ads or something like that. They had a Pi setup, but again for 700.

Yeah i've heard of/seen them

Not sure on the wiring side of the ones they did for the Elise/Exige

From what i've heard/info i've picked up regarding these units, they're not quite so well built as there race displays, and sometimes develop the odd irritating fault.

There are currently 3 on ebay at the moment
Alsoi a ST8120 race dash which may be a CAN only interface instead of the std loom/sensors

Here's the link for you
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search. ... 2&from=R18

I've no association with the sellers
