It clamps to the gutter rail like on every other car with a gutter edge. Have fitted roof racks to previous E30's like Brian said with out any trouble or dramas.
1 & 2 bed flats in Bournemouth areas, with parking

Mont Blanc (Ebay or A1 Motor Stores) do a standard roof bar kit for guttered vehicles for about £25. Works a treat. Used my motor for Window Cleaning until I did the decent thing and got a van to save ruining my is!

The same roof rack is now on a tidy blue touring. I regularly carry a couple of 16 rung double extending ladders on it, and occasionally, about twice as many 4.8s of 3X2 than it safe to do.

Yeah still busy window cleaning up on that estate. Got myself a Brilliant Red is now, think I had a Diamond Black 318i then. That got rear-ended badly!

Nice to hear from you.

Bash the panel out then! Bit of door seal around the edge, and job done!

You can also get magnetic things for lightweight loads like skis. I have a pair that I've occasionally used on other E30s.
