no. easy and cheap to replace the fronts as they come complete in a new hub and only cost about £25 a corner from ECP.

Turning right suggests that it's the left hand bearing, ie. when the left side is under load.

Ah that makes sense. It sounds like its from the right though.. I guess if i jack it up and wobble the wheels then it should become evident

"Crack" the wheel studs(loosen slightly)
Jack car up and loosen/remove wheel studs and wheel
Unbolt caliper
Unbolt disk (5mm allen key iirc)
Or drill the disk retaining bolt if head is chewed
Prise off bearing dust cap
Using a 36mm nut, loosen and remove nut that holds bearing/hub in place
Remove hub
Fit new one and torque up the nut to recommended setting
then refit the rest of the components

HTH

For god's sake check your tyre wear (uneven/feathering) before you change the bearing/s.

My old 320i on conti's made a right racket when cornering - you'd swear it was a bearing!

Put the wheel back on the hub after you've taken the centre nut off, and use it to pull the hub off.
Don't pull the car off the jack!

i also place the removed wheel under the floor of the car incase it rolls of the jack or stand causing another fuzzy squashed under car dilemma.i learned that lesson the second time it happened.
