Just noticed that instead of symbols for handbrake, abs etc they have it written. Are these american market dials or something?

yes the e36 ones are bigger and they drop in loose. u have to join parts from the e30 ones into the e36 ones

it was quite easy to be honest. i ordered the number bit from ebay, its called an EL glow dial kit, then i went down to the scrappy and nicked some needles. the hard part was having tha patients to wire up little LEDs under the needles. iv opened e30 dials before but didnt check to see how much space there was for wiring, has anyone got pics of the insides of e30 dials? if i can get one set done to quality standards i might be able to build up a few sets for you guys

cheers
