Ive been offered a cheap 323i (m52) but the thing is the bottom end has had it. Ive been trying to find a replacement engine but all the 2.5 m52's ive seen are alil on the pricy side, but ive seen loads of m50 2.5 going cheap.

My question is...Can I stick in a M50 2.5 lump?..i know it will "fit" but what about the wiring side of things.???

I have a 80000 mile 323 M52 engine for £400. The engine is guaranteed 100% all good and was removed to fit an S50. The engine is located in iver south bucks, about 20 miles from you. Or i will buy the car ! :)

I would put another M52 engine in but an iron block M50 will fit fine - just swap all the inlet manifold and engine loom over. The engine Pete has is a good one and runs sweet.

I think, kingwajuk, that it is quite sensible offer. And as pacerpete is a trader, you shoud expect some have short warranty on it.

That wants a chain attaching and using as a boat anchor!
