Many people have reported them not clearing the m40 engine at all so you seem pretty lucky to get it to have fitted.

Maxfield couldn't fit his, bought a white one thats for sale in the group buy section and it fitted fine.

it knew it was going to be tight as my dad uses one on his m20 racer,so i jacked the front up to get it on easier, didnt notice it touched untill i started her up,and it was vibrating!
its not to bad when im driving.could it do damage?engine mount straining??

if you really want it could you try modding the inlet a bit? They clear ok on every other engine apart from the M40 as far as I know. Don't try taking chunks out of the strut brace I expect this is a stupid idea negating the point of purchasing it!

The white one that does fit is only £50 iirc, I would whip the sparco off sell it on Ebay not accepting less than £100 for it and then buy the other type, save yourself £50 to put in the tank, or buy 3months tax, or get you 1/5 of a lsd. My point is why fix what aint broken, its only a sparco strut brace not the end of the world if you have a lesser make of good quality and save yourself £Â£'s.

Theres also some discrepencies on some of the widths between strut towers though I only know of this affecting LHD drive cars, as I have never heard of a RHD suffering from it, thats why Ireland engineering supply strut braces in 2 lengths.

It is a good deal. Kos is now banned from the forum. So you will have to go to Automac direct.

The deal was always to contact Automac direct, you'll see that if you read KOS's first post where it says "please call automac direct" Just mention the zone offer and they will know what your talking about. They have a few new E30 parts if practical performance car mag is to be believed.
