318is emishions to high, MOT fail!!!

can anyone tell me how to get the emishions down on my 318is! ive changed the airflow meter, the lambda probe, flushed and changed the oil and filter but still I carnt get it to pass its MOT!!! Help.

Allready removed the air filter? Im affraid I dont have the test results but its only just outside the limits?

New air filter and spark plugs got my dad's Golf through a re-test for similar failure.

Well, contact the MOT station and get them!
How do you think we can diagnose a problem without knowing the symptoms?

Whats the mileage? Possibly worn cam and tappets?

Had the car had a good run and was the cat hot when the mot was done! or had it been standing before for a while!

before you go give it a right good old blast down the motorway or somithing like that
did the trick for 2 of my previus cars lol

For an E30 to come anywhere near failing an MOT on emissions, there has to be something very wrong with it, but, until we know what particular emissions it failed on, we can't attempt to make any informed suggestions as to what the problem may be.

could be down to the new afm needing to be adjusted to sort the fueling

Without knowing which part of the emmisions test it failed on its very difficult to offer advise!
