Ive got a '85 318i and have had the idea of puting a 325 engine in on carbs?
Good idea or not? also how easy is it going to be?

Putting the 325 engine in is a good idea, as long as the suspension and brakes go with it, but why anyone in the 21st century would want to run an engine on anything so primitive and inefficient as carbs. is beyond me!
The only place carbs. should be found these days are on the entrants for certain classic race series, and in museums.
Even 'Practical Classics' (?) magazine has an article this month about fitting EFI to ancient vehicles!
