lol it is a lot of effort mate. Taken me a long time to mold it all up, then realise the holes were too small so i redid it all lol
. Not sure about my quality in terms of doing it for other people lol, might not be all that good!
Ashtray ones are pretty cool, lot easier to do as well i imagen.

i reckon the ashray area would look good, but the problem is you don`t want to have to keep looking down whilst your driving.

Heres what i was using on my m20.

The round sender is the audi one.(Ԛ£60 from stealer).I got it from the car i got the dials out of.One of the electrical connectors is an oil light and replaces the BMW original pressure switch. The other electrical connector on the sender is oil pressure sender.
I have the audi sender screwed into a t piece which i got from demon tweeks. On the end is the temp sender which is a BMW one from the E30 M3.I had to make a brass adaptor though which you can see between the temp sender and the tee piece to allow the oil to go around the probe end.
That whole lot replaces the original pressure switch location near the oil filter.
The large threads are all M12x1.5.
Heres another pic with the audi sender unscrewed, which you need to do to fit it all.Screw the top part in then screw the audi sender in after.

The audi sender is looking past its best but it works fine,i made a bit of a mess of the sender by trying to remove it with stilsons instead of doing it properly by the hex part, lucky i didnt damage it !.
Heres a pic where ive fitted them.I kept the original audi backing plate because i think they look better in that because without it they look boggle eyed
poking through the center console.
I then fitted the chrome rings which are the same as the ones i have on the heater controls.

Heres one of my m3 dials just for the hell of it !!

Hi guys I'm doing this too, just need to get senders and Ԛ£60 sounds like a lot of mullah
I put mine in the centre console, but I dumped the plastic surround cos I thought it would look out of place.

Apologies for the sh1t photos, taken on my phone
If you want info on wireing them up look here
http://www.thepaty.plus.com/8v/howto/VDO.htm
cos it's a common mod on the Golfs

Busters and Widge, those dials are way too low, i once also had something like that, but i just didnt look at them cause they were too low and to hard to read.
So Karan stick em up on the Vent, or get one of those A pillar ones.

Well each to his own. Thats basically where they were in the Audi coupe they came out of. I can see them perfectly clearly, and it's not like I'm going to be looking at them constantly. Whatever you do Karan please don't get one of those A pillar pod thingys. They're soooooooo naff / chav.

If I was you karan I'd drill them in where mine are, so many people who are in my car a lot haven't even noticed them, and said when I told them that they look lik they're supposed to be there
Unless you want to go for the racing car look, I just didn't want to loose the vents. Cheers for the pointer, I'm poping down to audi today, will keep you posted.

Widge, yeah thats right the other connector on the audi sender replaces the BMW oil light sender so just cut the plug off and wire it to audi sender using a spade clip

Where i made the brass connector you can just use the t piece, screw in the audi sender then, screw the m3 temp sender into the sump and then screw the sump plug into the end of the t peice therefore the brass bit isnt needed.

I assume the audi sender won't just fit in to the whole left by the bmw pressure switch? Then with M3 sender in the sump no need for t pieces. Na that would just be too easy.

Part number 035919561A Oil pressure Gauge sender 0-5 bar / 1.8 bar from the Audi dealer Ԛ£68.44+vat
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I'm looking for one on Ebay now. Do you think ECP will stock one, bugger should have bought a set of dials with seders like you Karan.
The M3 oil temp sender is Ԛ£18 + vat from BMW so I'll be getting one of them then.
At what oil pressure is the BMW dash oil light supposed to come on? Anyone?

I'm gonna try an online breaker now. Can't find any on Ebay, there were loads last week. If there were any in local breakers I would have got the gauges from there, don't see many coupes or quattros in srappys now.
I'll get a BM temp one and put it in the sump.
