My insurance with MCE ends 10th Jan, and although I probably wont have a replacement E30 by then, I was wondering if there was an specialist insurers I should try for when I do?

Obviously price is a major factor, but after going with MCE I'd much rather pay a bit more and get gauranteed customer service. And European cover is pretty important too.

So, anyone come recommended by the zone??

Ed.

A first class service.

Sorry, should have said they need fairly modification friendly :)

How are Lancaster for mods? I'm not going to be going mod mad, but suspension, wheels, E36 rack & welded diff.

Performance Direct gave me the best quote for the last 2 years. In the form limited millage policy with agreed valuation. This in a 2nd policy as my 325i is not my main car though.

Slightly off topic (but maybe not), but any of these firms include cover on the Nurburgring?

Very good for mods and you get to talk to a human in England very quickly !!!

I have been with them for five years and had my only claim dealt with very efficiently and fairly.

They may be a little more expensive than some but their service is first class.

HIC insurance - got mine on a classic policy through them for £300 fully comp.
Adrian Flux is another option to consider.

Good luck

HIC are very good, try A-Plan also

also worth trying sky insurance www.skyinsurance.co.uk very good service and your quote is very well individually tailored rather than just chucking your details into a computer.

+1 For Lancaster!

My jaw hit the floor when I got my latest insurance quote from them - fully £100 cheaper for fully comp than any other insurer!

Granted thats as a second car with limited milage and no NCB, but I'm still getting over how cheap they are!

Used to be with Churchill who provide excellent cheap cover though they can be reluctant to insure under 30's for higher performance cars unless you've been with them a while.

My classic policy is with Chaucer through HIC and they have been fine to deal with. When I wanted a top tint windscreen they were nice and easy to deal with and sorted it out at no extra cost. I've been with them a few years now and have found them to be among the cheapest. The agreed value is maybe a useful thing.

Quinn direct aren't bad.

£800 TPF&T under Dad's name with no NCB. Not too bad for 17 year old, eh?

Just ended up deciding to go with elephant - 325i touring - not sure how the service will work out though? £230 fully comp, No mods, 6000 miles per annum.
I quoted for Spadge's Alpina c25 a couple of weeks ago £300 fully comp. I am 34. This is my first car to insure.
Again, I have not tested them at all on anything except price. My brother in law has been with them for six years and has had only good things to say.
Saved a packet moving from Admiral (£125) - (Strange as they are the same company)
