Does anyone know if all 325 sports came pre wired for heated leather seats? looks like my seats have a connection coming out of the underside, but my car originally had cloth,wondered if it would be as simple to dig out the wiring add a couple of switches into centre consul for

Mine certainly didn't, though it's only a case of wiring from the junction box above the glove box, to the centre console and to the seats. Take a look under you're centre console, if it's there it will be obvious. There's no way would they fit cars with the elements though and just miss out the switches!
I am currently awaiting delivery of some heated elements to make a custom heated seat retro-fit using the original wiring and switches!

looks like ive got heated seats, but they are not original to my car- it had cloth but leather was an option so it would make sense to pre wire cars so you can plug and play! hopefully the wiring is under the carpet??

Yeah, the wiring would come up in the gap in the carpet under the seat, there should also be connectors under the centre console for the switches if that's the case.

simon, was at my local dealers today and got a copy of the service history printout from their system and also the original option sheet printout.
it will will make a good addition to the portfolio
also the two head salesman were very very impressed with the car.

You wont have the wiring, look for the Fuse and relay to make sure.demonbiker wrote:looks like ive got heated seats, but they are not original to my car- it had cloth but leather was an option so it would make sense to pre wire cars so you can plug and play! hopefully the wiring is under the carpet??

Hi Guys, My first post, hope this helps;
The fuse for the heated seats is No.16, a 15Amp. Circuits I've got in the Chilton suggests the fuse is powered from 'Unloader relay K5', or 'hot in start'.
Almost certain it won't be pre wired, but loom is very simple even if you have to make one up.

The wiring is already fitted from the fusebox to the junction box, it is from here you will have to fit a loom, if you didnt want to make your own up then it's about Ԛ£25 for the loom from the dealers.
If you're car has electric sunroof the relay should already be fitted as the seats share this relay.

hi all. How much are replacement heating elements and switches? Anyone know? My heated seats are not working, but they seem pretty straight forward for fault tracing.

Around Ԛ£50 per seat cusion. (Ԛ£100 per seat)
Switches are about Ԛ£40 i think. This is from the top of my head not to the nearest penny either so shut it! (you know who you are)

Might find it hard to find them, loom is about Ԛ£30 from the dealers, and the switches about Ԛ£30 each, if you're faced to go that route.E30Mark wrote:Only just stumbled across this thread, i've just put a wanted thread up for some switches and loom for the seats!

The only problem i find with the E30 looms is that the seats take a while to heat up. But once going they are very hot!
