Sikoflex (I think that's how it's spelt).
Used it to stick polycarb windows into frames. Great stuff.

I hope this isn't a temp repair. Sikaflex will give you a hard time if you want to remove the poly sheeted325i wrote:Thanks, I have found it on e bay and it sounds prefect.

The sunroof has all been removed so I need to fill the hole, so I am going to use a bit of poly sheet.

ETA motorsport removed my sunroof and just welded the outside skin in the opening at 50mm intervalls and filled the gap with sikaflex. Looks from the outside like the suroof would still be in the car. Wouldn't fancy a poly sheet abouve my head TBH. Not that I want to find out how good the steel panel is......ed325i wrote:The sunroof has all been removed so I need to fill the hole, so I am going to use a bit of poly sheet.

you can split the outer skin off if you are not too heavy handed. That's as light as it can get and looks best IMO because you keep the shape of the roof.ed325i wrote:I was going to weld the sunroof panal back in but that is heavy.

now all you need to do is to bend the remaining rim slightly outwards. Do the same on the rim around the hole in your roof skin (but the other way round) to close the gap a little bit where usually the gasket sits. Weld that panel in from top staggered with small welds and fill the gap with screen mastik from the top. Job done! But DON'T fully weld it. Your roof skin will get distorted.ed325i wrote:Well to remove the outer wasnt that badthanks UweM3
If you wouldn't know one would think there's still a sunroof in that car when passing by
