I do like a 2 door estate ever since I saw a Ford Escort version all RS'ed up. Lowered, nice wheels and as much of the sports kit added would make this car sweet!

Very interesting, never seen or heard of one of these before. I seem to remember there was a Dutch company that converted E28s to estates using a Merc tailgate, possibly done by the same people?

On second look it really does remind me of a hearse.
I'd wanna make my journey to the graveyard in one of those.....would have to be M Tech kitted with some nice wheels and a better colour though

yes.
these were made before the offical touring come out. based on the crome bumper models. bloody odd looking things. there was a few coachbuilders that did these.
they also converted the e28, respect!! they looked nice.
those who have half a brain will remember the e24 estate, oh dear.....
i seem to remember one featured in total bmw.

I guess someone at bmw just couldn't get the idea out of his head and eventualy convinced them to let him do it to a Z3

hmm is a touring front door the same length as a coupe ??
would be a cool conversion with a std touring ???
just move the door post back ??
