Have just fitted some new wheels and noticed there isn't alot of clearance between the inside of the wheel and the strutt, but they don't seem to rub so i thought i was alright. Drove it around abit on Tuesday and apart from wheel wobble there was no rubbing. So i took it in yesterday to get a couple of new tyres and have the wheels balanced and now it's fine going forward but in reverse it sounds like they are knocking on the front struts. I figered at first that it might be where they have put weights on the inside edge of the wheel, but then why doesn't it do it going forward?
Anyone got any ideas on this? I can't wrok it out at all. I'm fairly sure its the wheels causing the problem though as it didn't used to do it.
