Since buying my M3 in January, I have spent about Ԛ£2500, mostly improving the car, about Ԛ£500 on suspension, Ԛ£250 for a service, Ԛ£600 on bodywork (still in being done
), Ԛ£700 on wheels, Ԛ£300 on tyres, Ԛ£200 on smoked rear lights, Ԛ£200 on smoked hellas, Ԛ£160 CF gurney flap...I'd better stop now....it's more than 2500...
Then the touring....I haven't really taken note of how much I've spent on it, but I've put on it since having it, 16" Hartge's, cloth sport seats, OBC, Cruise, uprated suspension, and it still needs attention....

I bought my car 4 years ago for Ԛ£3,500 and in the 4 years ive spent approx Ԛ£4240 (receipts for) not inc the price of the car , and to be honest
most of the money was spent on asthaetics, leather, wheels, respray, new rear arches ect, s.s exhaust rear section(scorpion)
Mechanically the car is sound although i need 2 front tyres and a new exhaust at the moment so theres another couple hundred Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£.
Funny thing is tis failed the mot for the last 2 years and one of my workmates has a rust bucket of a Nova (and i mean rust bucket) yet it passes his mot all the bloody time.
I think garages see the money ive spent on my car and think "hey-up, we'll fail him so he can spend his money here"
Well i aint go no blinkin money, thats why my car has sat in my garage for the last couple of weeks cuz i cant afford to get it fixed you w@nkers
Rant over dude
So in answer to the question
Approx Ԛ£4240 (reciepts for)

I think I beat you at Ԛ£16.99 for a pair of Xenon headlight bulbs (well worth the extra money over normal bulbs
Though if you include insurance for the year.....

More than what it went on Ebay
(including purchase price)
But it went for close enough not to feel bitter and the rest i'll swallow as "enjoyment of the car" and did i!
Zayyan: Xenon bulbs are great! I had some on my E30, not as bright as the real deal but good enough imo!

I was fortunate enough to have a friend of a friend of a friend break down in it 20 yards away from my house, he needed a car sharpish so I swapped him a Rover 220 that cost me Ԛ£33 from a trade sale. He was happy, I was even happier to find out it was just the fuel pump (which I had a spare one of). The extra expenditure was a rare moment of prideZayyan wrote:HotboxDeluxe wrote:Ԛ£36.99 including purchase priceԚ£36.99 including the purchase price? You did well there!

I bought mine for Ԛ£800 10 weeks ago, since then I've spent;
Ԛ£110 - replacing sump gasket
Ԛ£80 - 5 15" BBSs with nearly new Avon something or others, AZ1?
Ԛ£20 - 4.5l main stealer coolant
Ԛ£!?!?!?!?!- Petrol!
She'll also be getting new oil, plugs, leads, filters in the next week or two. I've also got my eye on an M-tech wheel and some sports seats at the local scrappy, should be about Ԛ£100 for the lot. I also fancy some uprated shorter springs, what are the best value for money?
