my bite point is pretty high and its starting to slip alot, so guessing its time to get a new clutch.

would i get away with just changing the plate or do i need the whole clutch kit?

im gonna have a ring round for cost this afternoon, but what short of cost am i looking, just so i have an idea of whats good and whats bad.

thanks

Should have been £96 not £196?!

Looking at under £100 for a kit (less for the 4-pots than the m20 above), so it's hardly worth trying to save a few quid once you've gone to all the effort of changing it!

No point in changing just the friction plate, the whole kit is typically £80ish. You need to check it's not slipping because of an oil leak etc.

What engine? I fitted a Sachs clutch in my 318iS, so so so much better than the original !

how about labour costs?, not even gonna think about doing it myself, wouldnt know where to start with something like that.

£100 for the whole kit seems like a good price though,
thanks for replies
