Should really give it a clean but seems like such a waste of time in this weather
You should definitely keep it as clean as possible over the winter months. I've just invested in some Collinite 915, and it seem like good stuff. Stops water/dirt sticking to the car, and therefore stays cleaner, and is also easier to clean next time round.

Give the car atleast 1 coat before the weather gets really bad.

Black cars can look so good when cleaned up properly

Very true, looks the nuts when it's been washed and polished. May get on that tomorrow actually as i have the day off work. It's just so annoying when you clean it and then after 20 mins of driving its dirty again

I know the feeling...my alloys get covered in brake dust almost instantly (same on my brother's 9j borbets too), but this collinite wax really does work. I washed the car on saturday and have been driving it everyday, and did a motorway journey in the rain to birmingham today and they're still alot cleaner than they normally are within 1 day of cleaning it.

I'll be doing my car again sometime this week, and will also be doing my bro's cab when i can.

Oh and a tip. Keep on top of keeing your alloys clean from the start...once you get lazy you'll end up with black dots in the crevices of the alloy which will get very hard to remove if left on!

I use the polish and wax on my wheels to stop that happening.

What products do you reccomend? Gonna take a trip to halfords tomorrow and treat it to some decent cleaning products.

Have a look in the 'Care and Detailing' section...there's a few theads going at the moment.

I would definately recommend this Collinite 915...but i'd say speak to 'd6dph' as he seem to really know his stuff, and has tried quite a few different products, so can give you best advise on what's best depending on finish/budget/time/ease of use etc.
