Thanks,

It's really hard to picture HID's, but they look even better in real life!

In 2 minds over that as i'm not sure if it'll still have the same euro look with the tech2...but i'm still working on that!

Thanks, I don't think mine are actually 10K as my bro's are alot blue'r! I ordered both sets but mine are definately whiter than his....i like them anyways, look good, and a big improvement over the orginals!

The tints aren't great....i was in a hurry to get them done, and couldn't get them done by the people i normally use....the guy who did them has done a shit job in my opinion. You can't tell unless you look close but that's not good enough for me....it's going back to have a few of the windows re-done.

Gave the car a good clean and polish today and took a few new pics.

When i say quick....it wasn't that quick....

- Wash (using Meguiars Gold class Shampoo)
- Dry (Silicone blade and then Leather)
- Polish (Farecla Wax Top Polish)
- Rainx all the windows
- Polish the alloys (Meguiars all metal polish)
- Slick up the tyres (Meguiars Endurance tyre treatment tire high gloss)
- Hoover the interior including boot
- Wax

Wanted to Clay and buff the car aswell but was too tired having worked on the car all day yesterday!

A few of the cab thrown in aswell...and the 316 looking sorry for itself in the background :(

The touring was already lowered when i bought it. The arches have been knocked in a bit. It looks like it used to catch in the past, but not now!

The cab has a budget suspension kit on it from ebay...not very good tbh and will be getting replaced soon. it's 60/60 and the rears catch at the moment. May just lift it up to 40 on the rear for now.

Those are all your BMWs? Looks like you enjoyed yourself with the camera and got some neat shots. I like that headlight conversion. I've seem them on the 'bay' for around 50 smackeroos; a little too much for me right now.

I'm liking those dished rims by the way :D

The cab is my brother's but all the styling has been done by me (if i'd left it to him, he would have 17" chrome alloys, undercar neons and alot more council crap on it!). He only bought it because i talked him into the wonders of e30 ownership aswell.

I love the deepdish wheels, and would want something similar on all my e30's!

The HID's are worth every penny! Honestly you don't understand how much of a difference they make till you have them installed! They improve visibility loads, and gives the car that 'prestige' car look as it doesn't have the horrible yellow glow from the head-lights!

I like taking pics, but the weather's getting bad so don't have much of a chance to take any at other locations!

My 1st car was a e30 320i SE 4-door in dolphin grey....back then digital camera's weren't about, and phone cam's weren't invented! Therefore i don't have any pics of that car! I now make sure tha ti take pics of all my cars regardless of how good/bad it is!

Will take some pics in better scenery as soon as i have the time!

I ordered this armrest a long time ago for the red 316. Never got round to fitting it in that, so thought I'd see what it's like in the touring.

It was a cheap buy of ebay, that turned ugly when the seller tried messing me about, but the item did eventually arrive.

It's not ideal installation, but it does the job! It does have storage inside, but due to the 'Plasticly' nature of the armrest i though I'll not put anything into it that will rattle about.

Still got the Alcantara covered MTEC 2 steering wheel to go on, and i'll probably put that in once i have some leathers sorted out.

Anyway, here are some pics.

In some of the pics the armrest appears to be leaning to one side...that's actually due to the centre console not being screwed down at the back under the rear ashtray, because the nut is missing. Will get that sorted soon.

When installing it i did it for comfort, and therefore it may be slightly off, but not as much as is shown in the pics.

I had them done from a place round the corner from my house....had they done a good job i would've recommended them, but they did a shit job, and as a result i'm recommending that you don't go to them, and i'm stopping anyone i know going to them!

They look good, but when you open the windows the tint isn't cut right to the window top, there's a gap! It's also jagged, where it looks like they rushed the job!

The tints are about 50% on all the rears, and the lightest tint on the fronts, but because the whole of the back is blacked, it gives the impression that the fronts are darker than they really are!

If you're in the east midlands (derby), then i would recommend tracking down 'smart tints'. They're the people i normally use, and they do a top job! They've moved from where they were which is why i didn't use them this time (and regret it!)
Not sure if they still use this number, but it's worth a try (01332 600911).

I'd definitely recommend getting tints done, makes a massive difference to the look of the car!

Some new additions to the car:-

- Private plate added along with M-Power Plate surrounds
- Alcantara Tech 2 Steering wheel (with M colour stitching)
- Touch screen DVD player (plays just about everything, and has SD and USB connection)

Soon to be joined by head-rest monitors for the passengers in the back. :D

The DVD player did catch on the indicator stalks when initially installed, and i'd thought of numerous idea's on how to combat this, but then ended up doing the quickest, and chopped a bit off the end of the stalk. Indicator still works fine, and screen doesn't catch when opening/closing now :D I've just added some black insulation tape to the end of it (chopped stalk) for now, but i'll stick the original end cap on eventually.

The steering wheel is such a massive improvement over the MOMO one that i had on there, it feels just right, not too big, and not too small.

Also nice to finally have my private plate on, even though i've had the car for some time now, some people didn't realise it was mine until they seen the plate go on it.

Having received my Collinite 915 through the post a few days ago i wanted to see how good it was....so gave the car a wash/dry and then waxed the whole thing.

It was all going well till there was a slght drizzle despite the sun being out....not sure if that's affected the protection from the wax as i was still removing it :?

Waxed the wheels aswell (main reason i bought the stuff really) so we'll see how good it is!

Anyway, here are some pics.

Got mine off ebay...got mine a while back and as i bought a few sets i got them for £60 delivered. I think they're selling for about £65/set now. Don't be afraid of ordering the one's from Hong Kong...that's where mine came from. They list the item value as being $20 yes dollars! and therefore i've never had to pay any import tax/vat to date. :D
Gota love that mean face!
It is really aggressive isn't it....the Germany flag just adds to the overall look, and really works well for me!

The car's going to get a full re-spray in the new year, and when it does i'll be spraying the flag on (currently Vinyl sticker).

Just to add...the car hasn't 'changed' that much since i've bought it, but that's mainly down to the the fact that most things i was going to do to an e30 were already done (hence the reason i bought the car! :D )

- Lowered 60mm - check!
- 9J Borbet wheels all round - check!
- Smoked Smileys upfront - check!
- Red tinted rear lights - check!
- IS Front Lip spoiler - check!

I would've done all of these myself anyway so when i saw the car on for sale i saw a chance to save a few bob doing the mods myself! winkeye

Then comes the personal touches
- HID Conversion - check!
- Tinted Windows - check!
- Alcantara Tech 2 Evo Steering wheel - check!
- Full ICE install - check! (being upgraded as we speak! winkeye )
- Centre Armrest upfront - check!

Yet to come
- Full Black Sports Leather interior
- Tech 2 Kit - check!
- Full respray in original colour (Lachs Silver)

Todays update....

Purchased a Tech 2 kit for the touring today courtesty of 'bmcabs'.

I lost my front 'IS' lip on the way to picking the kit up, it got washed away when i went though a large puddle (it was really pissing it down!) :x

I did manage to retrieve the IS lip on the way home but it looks like it's had it...it was seriously mangled :(

I suppose it'll be motivation to get me to hurry up and get the kit sprayed.

Although i've a feeling the kit may be sitting around for a while as i don't know when i'm going to find time to get it sprayed!

Should look good when it's done though! :D
