Should my H-reg 325i sport have the little blue/red badge on the front grille ? or has this been added by some previous wannabee of an owner ?
Thanks Paul

the M badge is fitted by bmw to the M models only, but a lot of people have fitted to badges to their standard cars.

I thought a few dealers fitted the badge to Sports as well due to the M Tech kit?

Some Sports did leave dealerships sporting an ///M badge on the front and the rear apparently. But not standard...

I also have a 325is. Mine has been fully refurbished from the wheels up with new everything. It has the M tech boby kit. it has tiny badges on the sides just below the doors, the boot and front grill. Is there any way of finding out if it left the factory like this or has it been added later.

The stickers on the bodykit are standard mate. They should be small 'Mtechnic' stickers. All Body kits (Mtech) had this on, but the grill badge/boot badge, seem to be a bit hit and miss. Some people have them as standard, some say theyv seen some without

Some left with M badges, some without... my dads early sport and grey Mtech II sport didn't have them on. Also some dealerships will not sell you an M Badge if your car isnt ///M orientated - true fact. Not that anyone would buy them from the stealer as they are so readily available elsewhere now...

TBH, cant see what all the fuss is about, its a badge at the end of the day...

I can understand it may be confusing and someone unscrupulous (not too bad an attempt at spelling it  ) may try to make it seem as an indication of some 'fettling'...

however, the vast majority of owners on this forum can tell what spec a car actually is by investigating the car thouroughly.

If you like the ///Mtech badge, then fit it! its your car so do with it as you please.......... :D

I agree with you 320 Touring, the ///M badge can be put on your own ride as you wish. Though true enthusiasts know what is under the bonnet 8)
